Written landmarks 
On these pages you will find the content of all kinds of family documents or excerpts or summaries of them; some in original form, some abridged or edited for readability. 

The first document is a letter, written in 1945 from India, by Max Cassuto Izn,
my father, our grandfather/uncle, just after the end of the pacific war, when he was recovering from the hardships in the Japanese prisoner camps in Thailand and Birma, where the prisoners of war had to work as slave laborers at the so called Birma railroad. The letter is in Dutch – written in the so called “old spelling” – and when I have time I may produce an English translation.
