I wonder what became of him and if he is still alive. I found a picture of him and Sophia Loren, taken in the fifties (1955). There he appeared to be in his forties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The answer came in may 2006:
“,Dear Rob,
i am the nephew of Emanuel Cassuto, who was born in Salonika in 1916 and died in Paris in 1994. He had a very interesting life, never told. He has a daughter in Paris, two sons in Rome and a son in London whose mother is japanese (again!).

“je suis la fille d’Emmanuel Cassuto j’habites Paris et Marco donc le neveu est mon cousin. Effectivement mon grand-p\u00e8re qui s’appellait Joseph \u00e9tait italien et je pense que nos origines sont de Livourne et un des grands Rabins de Florence \u00e9tait Nathan Cassuto qui a donn\u00e9 son nom \u00e0 la synagogue. Et vous o\u00f9 habitez-vous? Qui est Elissa ? ou peut on voir ce documentaire car nous avons en commun un grand-p\u00e8re du m\u00eame pr\u00e9nom! Best regards.
